Equipped With The Financial And Legal Acumen That Complex Division Demands

Due to the complex nature and financial risks involved in dividing retirement benefits during divorce, many family law practitioners choose not to handle this aspect themselves. Instead, they often seek guidance from a reputable QDRO lawyer.

For over 15 years, Tacasha Thomas has been that valuable legal resource for individuals and other lawyers. She possesses a unique background as both an accountant and a lawyer, enabling her to handle complicated financial calculations with precision. She is adept at drafting QDROs and providing other services related to retirement division.

We are proud to offer this high-caliber service to clients in all 50 states.

Eliminating Needless Complexity For Family Law Attorneys And Clients

For fellow lawyers and individuals, Ms. Thomas can draft a QDRO for a single flat-rate fee of $600 per QDRO, guaranteed through approval. This will cover drafting the QDRO, and if applicable, corresponding with the plan administrator, and making any necessary revisions until the QDRO is accepted by the Plan. It is not unusual for plan administrators to request changes to QDROs because many require very specific language for the QDRO to be approved. If the plan administrator requests any changes to the QDRO, we will work those out as requested at no additional cost.

We can draft QDROs for all types of employer-sponsored retirement plans, including defined benefit, defined contribution, and cash balance plans. We also draft Orders to divide federal CSRS, FERS, TSP Plans, and military plans. If you are in Kentucky, we can draft QDROs to divide any of the Kentucky Public Employee Plans (including KTRS, CERS, KERS, Police & Fire, and Kentucky Deferred Comp.)
